The title comes from the layers in the weaving, woven in three layers of colors, the black paper yarn and the pink bast, or yellow cotton yarn, is regular every 1 and 2 shuttle. The 3rd shuttle was used for experimental materials, such as gift wrapping materials and other thicker threads.
The pattern is an enlarged Daldræll, nearly unrecognizable to the eye, unless you know it already as a weaver.
Sofia says “When I hang this work, it reminds me of colors that are slowly dripping and leaking out from the image.”

This work is from the same artistic process as the above work. Where the weaving patterns which have been used are similar, but the materials and colors have changed.
Sofia says “This work always hangs together with it’s twin (see above) reminding me of the two cakes we would have to choose between on our large family birthdays.”
